Working Group on Climate Justice

The Working Group on Climate Justice of the Civic Solidarity Platform considers the climate crisis to be one of the most urgent human rights concerns of our time and works to include climate justice issues into the activity of the CSP and into the third dimension of the OSCE more generally.

The Working Group on Climate Justice considers issues related to climate, environmental degradation, environmental human rights, and protection of environmental defenders from reprisals to be central to the mission of the OSCE’s human dimension and to the goals of the CSP. Recognizing the intersectionality of climate justice with gender issues, racism, intolerance, war, and violence, the Working Group will focus its efforts to gather information about climate justice in the OSCE region, bring the issue to the forefront of OSCE concerns, and strengthen the capacity of the CSP to engage on this issue.
