Appeal to the United Nations Secretary General Regarding His Visit to Turkmenistan

The Prove They Are Alive! campaign has appealed to the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres during his visit to Ashgabat on 13 June to urge the government of Turkmenistan to put an end to enforced disappearances in prisons and stop the repressive practice of arbitrarily banning people from traveling abroad, to demand accountability from President Berdymukhamedov and hold him to the United Nations norms he claims to respect.
