The Human Rights Centre ZMINA is a Ukrainian nongovernmental organization aimed to build a country where every person can protect their rights. ZMINA works in the field of protection of freedom of speech, assembly and association, countering discrimination, prevention of torture and ill-treatment, fighting against impunity, supporting human rights defenders, activists and media in Ukraine, including the temporarily occupied territories, and also protecting victims of Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine. Since 2022, ZMINA has focused its efforts on documenting war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by Russian armed forces in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. In particular, ZMINA became one of the initiators of the creation of the “Ukraine 5 AM Coalition” — an association of human rights organizations that document war crimes and crimes against humanity committed during the Russian armed aggression against Ukraine.
