Index on Censorship is a non-profit organisation, founded in 1972, that campaigns for and defends free expression worldwide, including by publishing work by censored writers and artists through our quarterly magazine. Academic freedom, artistic freedom, media freedom, and digital freedom are the four cornerstones of our work.
