GCRT, established in 2000 with the support of the International Rehabilitation Council for Torture Victims, is a non-profit, non-governmental organization addressing the needs of traumatized communities in Georgia. It offers professional tailor-made psychological, medical, and social services to victims of torture and inhuman treatment, internally displaced persons, war-affected individuals, refugees, victims of forced migration or bereavement, victims of hate crimes, victims of sexual and gender-based violence, victims of domestic violence, people whose family members are missing as a result of wars, and individuals tortured by representatives of state agencies.
