UNITED for Intercultural Action is a pan-European network that brings together over 560 organizations from 46 countries, working collectively to combat racism, fascism, and discrimination in all its forms. Founded on the belief that unity is essential in the fight against racism, UNITED’s mission is to promote intercultural understanding, solidarity, and peaceful co-existence throughout Europe and beyond. The network envisions a Europe rooted in diversity, tolerance, and equal opportunities—where young people are seen as agents of change and empowered to shape the inclusive societies they want to live in. Through collaboration and shared vision, UNITED aims to mainstream antiracism into contemporary culture, speaking out firmly against the growing tide of political intolerance and fear.
As a dynamic and inclusive movement, UNITED strengthens intercultural dialogue by fostering cooperation among grassroots organizations, civil society, minority groups, and institutional actors. It coordinates powerful Europe-wide campaigns, such as the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (21 March), World Refugee Day (20 June), and the International Day Against Fascism and Antisemitism (9 November). UNITED’s strength lies in its creative and decentralized approach—connecting local actions with a broader European vision to amplify voices and mobilize collective action. Alongside its campaigning work, UNITED also engages in advocacy at the European Commission, OSCE, and the Council of Europe, pushing for policies that reflect a commitment to human rights, inclusion, and anti-discrimination.
